Working Principle
Low-voltage digital logic signals transmitted via the GESPAC system backplane trigger optocoupler galvanic isolation stages, which drive internal miniature electromagnetic relays. Each relay’s Form C contact provides separate normally open and normally closed switching paths to independently control external field devices. Reinforced isolation eliminates ground loop interference and protects upstream PLC CPU hardware from voltage surges generated by inductive field loads.

Applicable Industries
Factory discrete manufacturing automation, packaging machinery control systems, water/wastewater process control, printing press motion control, elevator auxiliary safety circuits, material conveying equipment, HVAC industrial ventilation control
Installation Requirements
- DIN rail mounting requires horizontal module orientation; vertical mounting degrades heat dissipation and reduces relay service life
- Minimum 15 mm vertical spacing between adjacent modules to maintain natural convection cooling airflow
- Field wiring must separate low-voltage logic cables and high-power load wiring into distinct cable trunking channels
- Torque specification for screw terminals: 0.6 N·m to avoid terminal loosening under continuous vibration
- Rack backplane bus connector must fully seat with audible click to eliminate intermittent logic signal faults
Usage Precautions
- Do not exceed rated switching current for inductive loads; overcurrent operation causes permanent relay contact arc erosion
- All external inductive actuators (solenoids, contactor coils) require parallel transient suppression components for long-term module reliability
- Operating environment relative humidity must stay below 95% non-condensing; condensation creates tracking leakage across isolation barriers
- Avoid installation within 30 cm of high-power variable frequency drives to minimize electromagnetic noise interference
- Annual visual inspection of relay contacts mandatory for high-cycle switching applications (over 10,000 daily actuation cycles)
