Product Short Description
Product Overview
Slide-in temperature control accessory exclusively designed for Agilent G7167A/G7167B automated liquid chromatography autosamplers. It maintains precise constant thermal conditions for loaded sample vials/microplates to prevent analyte degradation, peak broadening, and quantitative measurement drift caused by ambient temperature fluctuations

Working Principle
Thermoelectric Peltier semiconductor heat transfer technology drives bidirectional cooling/heating. Dual platinum resistance temperature detectors continuously feed real-time chamber temperature data to the integrated PID closed-loop controller. The controller dynamically adjusts Peltier element current output to maintain fixed setpoint temperature; internal cross-flow fans homogenize air distribution to eliminate localized thermal gradients within the sample storage compartment. Condensed water vapor from cooled air is gravity-drained into a dedicated waste vessel to avoid sample cross-contamination.
Function & Feature Highlights
- Closed-loop PID temperature control algorithm eliminates thermal overshoot and oscillation
- Automatic condensate liquid level overfill alarm signal transmitted to LC control software
- Compatibility with 2 mL standard vials, 96-well microplates, 384-well deep-well sample plates
- Integrated passive solvent vapor absorption filter to prevent volatile mobile phase buildup inside the cooling chamber
- Power-loss memory retention of user-programmed temperature setpoints
- Low-noise fan operation (<42 dBA) compliant with laboratory noise standards
Core Advantages
- Tool-free plug-and-play integration with all G7167-series multisamplers without hardware modification
- Uniform thermal environment eliminates retention time deviation for temperature-sensitive analytes (proteins, vitamins, pesticides)
- Compact slide-in design occupies zero external bench workspace
- Full two-way digital communication with Agilent OpenLAB/ChemStation chromatography software
- Integrated overheat protection circuit automatically cuts Peltier power at chamber temperature exceeding 60 °C
Applicable Industries
Biopharmaceutical protein purification analysis, clinical biochemistry testing labs, environmental pesticide residue monitoring, food additive quantification, natural herbal extract chromatography, pharmaceutical stability testing laboratories
Installation Requirements
- Installed exclusively within the dedicated thermostat slot of G7167A/G7167B multisampler chassis
- Condensate drain tubing must route vertically downward with minimum 10 cm gravity drop to prevent liquid backflow
- Minimum 5 cm rear clearance required for heat sink exhaust airflow; cabinet ventilation grilles cannot be blocked
- Power supply wiring must use the original shielded harness supplied with the autosampler unit
Usage Precautions
- Never operate the cooling module without connecting the condensate drain waste bottle; overflow causes internal circuit board short-circuit damage
- Sample chambers require weekly wiping with 70% isopropanol to remove condensed organic solvent residue
- Do not set operating temperature below 5 °C; sub-zero setpoints trigger automatic safety shutdown to prevent ice formation blocking airflow
- External ambient operating environment must maintain 18–28 °C for full temperature regulation accuracy; extreme room temperatures degrade cooling performance
- Annual replacement of internal solvent vapor absorption filter cartridge required to prevent chemical corrosion of internal aluminum heat sinks
