Working Principle

24V AC/DC power supply energizes the safe-area side internal control circuit; passive potential-free contact signal from hazardous zone ExSens sensor enters intrinsic safety isolation circuit which strictly limits circuit voltage and current below explosive gas ignition energy threshold; isolated signal transmits to internal timing relay circuit, after user-set delay time elapses, drives safe-area side potential-free relay contact to close/open and output switching signal to upper PLC or control equipment; two LED lights synchronously display sensor contact state and relay output action state for on-site visual inspection.

Installation Requirements

Usage Precautions

  1. Never connect non-intrinsic safe power supply or high-energy signals to Ex-i input terminals, will invalidate explosion-proof certification
  2. Do not modify internal circuit structure or replace isolation components with non-original spare parts
  3. Calibrate timing delay potentiometer only when module power supply is cut off
  4. If sensor signal LED keeps extinguished, inspect hazardous zone contact sensor wire open circuit first
  5. Do not install module within 20cm of high-power contactors or frequency converters to avoid electromagnetic interference timing deviation
