Functional Features

  1. Wide universal AC input eliminates regional mains voltage selection switch
  2. Low standby no-load power consumption meets global energy efficiency industrial standards
  3. Reinforced 3kVAC input-output isolation separates mains high voltage from low-voltage control circuits
  4. Integrated automatic recovery short-circuit protection for downstream sensor loads
  5. Encapsulated module variant fully resistant to dust and light mechanical vibration
  6. No external auxiliary filtering capacitors required for standard industrial EMC compliance
  7. Multiple mechanical mounting form factors support PCB vertical through-hole or cabinet chassis installation

Working Principle

Front-end full-wave rectifier converts AC mains input to unregulated high-voltage DC bus; high-frequency flyback switching topology converts bus voltage to stabilized low-voltage DC output. Secondary side feedback optocoupler continuously transmits output voltage deviation signal back to primary PWM control IC to adjust switching duty cycle and maintain constant regulated output voltage under variable input AC and variable load current conditions. Internal thermal cut-off circuit triggers latching shutdown when internal component temperature exceeds safe threshold value.

Material Composition & Structural Characteristics

  • Open-frame variant substrate: FR4 through-hole PCB with surface mount primary side switching components
  • Encapsulated variant housing: Flame-retardant ABS plastic enclosure filled with thermally conductive epoxy potting compound
  • High-frequency transformer core: Ferrite magnetic core with insulated copper winding
  • Input filter components: X/Y safety rated ceramic suppression capacitors, differential mode inductors
  • Output terminal hardware: Tin-plated copper through-hole pin headers for PCB soldering

Advantage Highlights

  1. Class II isolation design removes requirement for protective earth wiring in compact control enclosures
  2. 130% peak load capacity handles sensor inrush startup current without voltage collapse
  3. Ultra-low <0.3W no-load power reduces off-cycle industrial equipment energy consumption
  4. Three mechanical mounting variants adapt to all embedded PCB and chassis integration scenarios
  5. Full Class B EMC compliance eliminates external EMI filter component cost
  6. Wide -25°C to +70°C operating temperature supports cold storage and high-temperature factory environments

Applicable Industries

Industrial sensor power supply, small automation PLC auxiliary logic power, medical low-voltage monitoring equipment, HVAC control boards, access control systems, laboratory test instrumentation, portable industrial measurement devices

Installation Requirements

  1. PCB through-hole soldering variant requires minimum 5 mm clearance around module for air convection cooling
  2. Encapsulated chassis mount variant secured via M3 machine screws to flat metal cabinet surface for heat dissipation
  3. AC input wiring must include external slow-blow fuse rated maximum 1 A / 250 VAC
  4. Separate power input wiring from signal measurement cabling minimum 10 cm distance to avoid EMI interference

Usage Precautions

  1. Continuous full-load operation above +50°C ambient temperature requires linear power output derating
  2. Do not remove epoxy potting compound from encapsulated module variant; potting material provides critical thermal dissipation and isolation safety
  3. Repeated continuous peak load operation exceeding 30 second duration will accelerate internal component aging
  4. No parallel connection of multiple ECL-10 modules without dedicated load-sharing external circuitry
  5. Direct contact with liquid water will permanently damage open-frame PCB variant circuitry
