Working Principle
Shipboard analog measurement signals (rudder angle, engine speed ±10 VDC) transmit to internal microprocessor signal conditioning circuit; the microprocessor calculates real-time measurement values and outputs proportional drive current to patent X-coil electromagnetic assembly. The X-coil generates rotating magnetic field to drive aluminum pointer to corresponding dial scale position for visual analog indication. The PY dedicated dimming circuit receives 1 kΩ potentiometer resistance signal from bridge console master dimmer to adjust LED backlight current, realizing synchronous uniform brightness adjustment of all DLQW series meters on the same control panel. Internal ESD protection circuits suppress marine grid transient voltage surges to protect core drive electronics.
Advantage Highlights
- 0.5 high-precision marine accuracy class meets international marine vessel instrumentation standards
- PY universal dimming interface realizes centralized unified night light brightness control for bridge wing console
- IP66 front panel protection withstands sea spray, dust and humid marine cabin environment
- Anti-vibration balanced pointer eliminates reading jitter under ship hull continuous vibration
- Long-life LED backlight reduces vessel maintenance replacement frequency
- Full marine type approval certification compatible with all standard shipboard 24 VDC electrical systems
Applicable Industries
Ocean-going cargo vessels, passenger cruise ships, offshore wind service platforms, marine fishing vessels, port tugboats, naval auxiliary vessels, marine engine room control consoles, bridge wing navigation monitoring panels
Installation Requirements
- Install within standard Q72 72×72 mm DIN cutout on marine steel switchboard front panel; fasten front spring clips to lock meter body rigidly
- Mount silicone rubber sealing gasket between meter bezel and cabinet panel to maintain IP66 front protection rating
- Separate signal wiring from high-power motor and inverter power cables inside cabinet with minimum 15 cm separation
- Connect cabinet PE ground terminal to meter rear ground screw to suppress marine salt fog induced static charge
- Use double-shielded marine signal cable for measurement and dimming wiring; single-point shielding grounding at cabinet PE bar
- Maintain cabinet internal operating temperature within -25 °C ~ +70 °C; avoid direct solar radiation on meter front panel
Operation & Maintenance Precautions
- Wipe front polycarbonate window with soft microfiber cloth only; forbid abrasive cleaning agents to prevent scratch damage
- Conduct annual inspection of rear terminal screw tightness to avoid loose contact caused by hull vibration
- Do not install adjacent to high-current contactors and ship power distribution transformers to prevent electromagnetic pointer drift
- Avoid exposure to direct sea water splash; install additional rain shield for exterior bridge wing panels
- Store spare meters in moisture-proof sealed packaging with anti-salt-fog desiccant packs
- Cut off 24 VDC shipboard auxiliary power supply before disassembling rear wiring terminals
