Product Short Description
Product Introduction:
The Vibro-Meter CMC16 is a high-performance intelligent front-end Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) designed by the Swiss Vibro-Meter company for the flagship VM600 series Condition Monitoring System (CMS). The CMC 16 Condition Monitoring Card serves as the central element in the VM series Condition Monitoring System. In the model 200-530-012-012, the first “012” represents the embedded software version and the second “012” represents the hardware version.

High-resolution data acquisition at scheduled intervals or on alarm detection (waveforms, spectra, and orbits)
-
Fully configurable spectral resolution, frequency span or order span, window type, averaging mode, and number of averages
-
Exception-based data transmission: data sent to host only when change of value exceeds pre-defined threshold
-
Value averaging for smoothing or noise reduction
Working Principle:
The CMC16 acquires signals from various inputs including speed, phase reference, vibration (acceleration, velocity, or displacement), dynamic pressure, airgap rotor and pole profile, and any dynamic or quasi-static signals. Signals can be input from adjacent Machinery Protection Cards (MPC 4) via the VM600 “Raw Bus” and “Tacho Bus” or externally via screw terminal connectors on the IOC 16T. The IOC 16T modules provide signal conditioning and EMC protection. The CMC16 processes acquired data through programmable anti-aliasing filters and ADCs, performs FFT conversion, extracts bands, checks limits, and communicates results to the host system.
