Product Short Description
Product Overview:
The Honeywell CC-PAIX02 (alternate part number: 51405038-475) is a high-level analog input module within the Honeywell Experion Series C I/O product line. This module is designed to receive high-level analog signals – voltage and current – from industrial field transmitters and sensors, converting them to digital signals for Experion control system processing. It provides 16 analog input channels (12 single-ended, 4 differential) in a compact form factor.

Series C Form Factor: Patented heat channeling design for enhanced thermal management
Working Principle:
The module receives voltage or current signals from field transmitters, applies appropriate signal conditioning (voltage scaling or current-to-voltage conversion through 250 Ω resistor), and converts them to digital values using a 16-bit A/D converter. The digital data is transmitted via the Series C I/O bus to the C300 controller. For HART-enabled models, digital communication is extracted from the analog loop without interrupting the primary signal.
Advantages & Strengths:
-
16-channel high-density design significantly reduces cabinet space and engineering costs
-
12 single-ended + 4 differential configuration provides application flexibility
-
70 dB CMRR ensures signal integrity in electrically noisy environments
-
Wide -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range for extreme environments
-
Seamless integration with Experion PKS and C300 controllers
Applicable Industries:
-
Petrochemical: Monitoring multiple pipeline flows, tank levels, and reaction temperatures
-
Pharmaceutical: Precision temperature and pressure acquisition in reactors
-
Steel/Metallurgy: Stable operation in electrically noisy environments with密集 equipment
-
Smart Buildings: Environmental monitoring with mixed sensor signal types
Model Series: Experion Series C I/O / C300 Controller I/O
Installation Requirements:
-
Install in standard Series C I/O rack slots
-
For current inputs (4-20 mA), external 250 Ω resistor required
-
Ensure proper shielding for voltage inputs to maintain >10 MΩ input impedance
-

Usage Precautions:
-
Maximum differential input voltage: ±30V – do not exceed
-
Use shielded twisted-pair cables for analog信号 lines
-
Avoid parallel routing with power cables to prevent interference
-
Verify signal type configuration (voltage vs. current) before operation
