Product Short Description
Product Overview:
The BT50-LCZ56T-195 is a high-performance AC servo motor from Big Daishowa’s BT series, designed for precision motion control in CNC machines, robotics, and automation equipment. The suffix breakdown: BT50 = frame size, LCZ = standard type, 56T = winding code (speed-torque variant), 195 = specific length/torque variant.

Functional Features:
- High-response servo control — bandwidth up to 1.6 kHz
- Electromagnetic brake for vertical axis hold (no power = motor locks)
- Low inertia rotor for rapid acceleration/deceleration
- High overload capacity — 3x rated torque for short duration
- Built-in thermal sensor (PTC thermistor) for motor protection
- Compatible with Yaskawa Sigma-7, Sigma-X, Sigma-XII drives and others
Working Principle:
The stator generates a rotating magnetic field via three-phase AC current from the servo drive. The permanent magnet rotor locks to this field and rotates synchronously. The optical encoder provides real-time position/speed feedback to the drive, which adjusts current to maintain precise motion control. The electromagnetic brake engages when power is removed, holding the load.
Advantages:
- High torque-to-inertia ratio — excellent dynamic response
- IP65 rating — dust and water jet resistant
- Electromagnetic brake eliminates need for external brake
- Compact BT50 frame — fits standard CNC spindles
Applicable Industries:
CNC machining centers, industrial robots, pick-and-place machines, semiconductor equipment, printing machinery, textile machines
Installation Requirements:
- Mount using 4x M6 mounting holes on 130mm flange (BT50 standard)
- Couple to load via flexible coupling (max misalignment: 0.05mm angular, 0.1mm parallel)
- Connect encoder cable using shielded twisted pair (max 10m)
- Apply locking torque: 15 Nm on coupling set screw
Usage Notes:
- Do not apply external axial load exceeding 400N — damages bearings
- Brake release time: approximately 30ms after power-on
- Use servo drive auto-tuning for optimal performance
- Replace brake pads after 10,000 hours of operation
